Storyline:

You are on a road trip through New England. Along the way you stop in the small New England town of Pinewood. The downtown is peaceful and surrounded by deep woods which seem to go on forever. You stop at a small coffee shop and you hear two old men talk about the woods and you swear you hear one of them say the word witch. As you peer over at them they quickly stop talking and get up and leave. Intrigued you decide to google the name of the town and up pops an article about a missing YouTuber/documentarian who disappeared as she set out to do a story on the town and lore of the witch of the woods.

The article goes on to explain all about the history that surrounds the town and a section of woods that no one has dared to inhabit for decades. This story began in 1692 during time and place where accusations of witchcraft were running rampant. During this time anyone could be accused of witchcraft. If you just didn’t like somebody or you mysteriously got sick you could just accuse somebody of witchcraft. That is what happened to Mary Anne Hubbard. Mary Anne was an old woman who made dolls for the local children and lived in the woods. She made these dolls out of straw and enjoyed giving them to the children. But there was a man, a prominent man, named Thomas Moore who did not like the woman. He did not like her because she lived in the woods by herself and he just didn’t trust her. One day one of the children got sick. And then another one got sick. That was common because at that time they didn’t have modern medicine. But Thomas decided to accuse Mary Anne of witchcraft. He insisted that is why the children were getting sick. What else could be the explanation. Since Thomas had a lot of sway, people believed him. And people started blaming everything that was going wrong on Mary Anne. Obviously the woman was upset because all she wanted to do was make dolls and toys for children. So she retreated to her isolated cabin in the woods.

One day a group of men approached the cabin thinking that if they just got rid of Mary Anne all of the children would get better and all of the problems would go away. So the man walked through the woods to the cabin. They found Mary Anne. They dragged her from her home and tied her to a tree. The woman begged and pleaded for the man to let her go for she was not a witch. The men were persistent and lit a torch. They told her that she had to die because she was a witch. They let straw from underneath her and she began to burn. As she took her last breath she said “I was not a witch but now I am one.” It sounds interesting but of course you don’t believe any of this nonsense.

That evening at dusk you were driving down an old dark road. You see a small shadow like a very small child lurking behind a tree along the road. The lights from your car catch it and you see a blank stare looking back at you. That only lasts a very short moment because the figure disappears into the woods. You are up for an adventure. You decide to park your car and chase that figure through the woods. You hear small footsteps running through the woods. You chase it through the woods across the stream and deeper and deeper and deeper into the woods. By now it is fully dark and you have no idea where you are. You go to turn on your phone and surprise you have no signal and your phone is almost dead. You pause and think about turning around but you are completely lost. Now you start hearing all kinds of whispers throughout the woods. You cannot make out what they are saying. All of a sudden you hear a bunch of small footsteps running in one certain direction. You slowly approach that direction no longer chasing them but approach much more cautiously. In the distance you see a small cabin with one candlelit window. So not knowing where else to go and now having no cell service you approach the cabin. You open the door and you see a table in the middle of the cabin with a candle on it. The table is set for dinner and in the middle you see a locked box, locked book and a note...
